1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Renuvé ("the Service"), operated at renuve.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Renuvé is a web-based AI photo editing platform that allows users to enhance, restore, recolor, cartoonize, and otherwise transform images using artificial intelligence. The Service operates on a token-based system where users purchase tokens to perform edits.

3. Accounts

  • You must create an account to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information up-to-date.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Tokens & Payments

  • Tokens are a virtual currency used to pay for AI processing within the Service. Each edit consumes a set number of tokens depending on the operation type (150–250 tokens per edit).
  • New accounts receive a one-time grant of free tokens. Additional tokens can be purchased through the Service via Stripe.
  • All purchases are in euros (EUR) and are processed by Stripe. Prices are displayed inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
  • Tokens are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us within 14 days.
  • Tokens do not expire and remain in your account for as long as your account is active.
  • We reserve the right to change token pricing at any time. Price changes do not affect tokens already purchased.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload, process, or generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Create deepfakes or manipulated media intended to deceive, defraud, or harm others.
  • Process images of individuals without their consent, where such consent is required by law.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or AI models of the Service.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without our written permission.
  • Circumvent rate limits, token costs, or any other technical measures of the Service.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Your content: You retain ownership of the images you upload. By uploading an image, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process it through our AI pipeline solely for the purpose of delivering the Service.
  • Output images: You own the processed output images generated from your uploads. You are solely responsible for how you use them.
  • Our content: The Renuvé name, logo, website design, and underlying technology are our intellectual property and may not be copied, modified, or redistributed without permission.

7. AI Processing Disclaimer

The Service uses third-party AI models (including Replicate) to process images. AI results may vary in quality and accuracy. We do not guarantee that outputs will meet your expectations. The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Renuvé and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Availability & Modifications

  • We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any unused tokens are forfeited upon account termination for cause.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable member state where the operator is established. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
